While the physie world gets busier, I've actually finished for the year. 2026 was my first year as a senior, after a 5 year break where I was previously a beginner, novice and intermediate lady. 2026 was also my first year in APDA where I noticed that seniors and ladies march two laps and then stop in a line. I guess that's good because the first and last person marches around equally, whereas in BjP you marched until the music ended. In APDA, changing lines was also different, you don't simply move forward to the next marker, but rather rotate in a circle, or 2 circles.
Self-reflection:
I need to work on my dynamics, my light and shade, heavy and soft moves. Additionally, I need to travel more, I noticed that I was pretty much on the same spot as my marker, and other dancers moved lots more. These improvements will come as I get more familiar with APDA and ongoing practice. Anyway, 2026 was such a great year of physie for me!
